I am a mixed media artist living in western NY. I earned a BFA in photography at the University at Buffalo and pursued parallel fine art and commercial photography practices, which informed my video and installation work. I completed my MFA in interdisciplinary visual arts and critical theory from Maine College of Art & Design. At MECAD, I explored installation, performance, and video, which were embedded in larger installations.
I am consistently engaged in mixed media investigations using drawing materials, fabrics, reclaimed frames, and a variety of other materials.
I have been teaching art since 2004. I live on the west side of Rochester, NY with my husband, 2 children, and a variety of friendly animals, where I endeavor to be fully present as a human, artist, and teacher, in an attempt to leave this place just a little bit better than I found it.
