Amy Robinson Gendrou is a mixed media artist living in western NY. Amy earned a BFA in photography at the University at Buffalo and an MFA at Maine College of Art & Design.
Amy’s interests in natural ecosystems, mindfulness education, and mental health profoundly influence her artistic practice.
Mixed media investigations include drawing, mixed media collage, inks, fibers, reclaimed frames, and a variety of other materials.
Amy has been teaching art in public schools since 2004 and has worked with students of all ages. She currently teaches students at Merton Williams Middle School, in Hilton NY, and senior citizens in Rochester NY. Amy lives on the west side of Rochester, NY with her husband, 2 children, and a variety of friendly animals, where she endeavors to be fully present as a human, artist, and teacher, and will hopefully leave this place just a little bit better than she found it.
