My artistic practice is an attempt to make sense of lived experiences and find silence, clarity, and catharsis.  Mixed media drawings are a foundation for detangling intersections between events and sites.

Catharsis results from the slow progression of the sewn line, inviting reflection, and creating its own time and space between the physical layers of the drawing.

Layers can be a metaphor for life, with so many things happening at once, in the same physical space. The accumulation of tiny marks, stitches and layers creates additional space and time in which to remember, act, create, and reflect.

Sidestepping narrative, the work is divergent, but welcomes the tension.
