I obscure intimate, lived-in, concealed, and transitory spaces with the inscriptions of my secrets. On the tissue I’ve imprinted my interior noise. Here, the noise has been made material and constructive, and can be physically entered, spread out, or packed away.
Indenting something so easy to discard with tenacious interiority seems appropriate. Now that they are embedded in an easily destroyed square of cotton, I take a different kind of care with these thoughts. The ease of throwing away the tissue combined with the preserved and woven together bits of memory, guilt, worry, stress and possibility gives the structure levity, mobility, and strength.
